I have heard it from co-worker and random people that AI makes them feel like super-human. They can do so much more with AI. I am using AI to make me look at other angles and to read more about something I have to do to get more depth than to be faster. I want to know what I am missing with my narrow view and questions. Trying to remember more. Not easy. I read a lot of articles, I listen to a lot of TED talks, YouTube videos, I listen to a lot of podcasts and I would like to remember everything that I am learning from all these sources. I can build a second brain with some techniques I have read about and I still need to practice this. Having a good structure and being consistent at tagging this knowledge base is a lot of work and dedication. It barely helps. ...

I have said it before, but oddly enough, I am getting to take on more before I can get to less. That contradiction is an odd situation to be in. I also think that I am lying to myself. The path to less and simpler does not have to be a forced passage through a lot more before getting to the promise land. I think that if I was disciplined, I would have seen this and planned properly to make sure I was removing as much as possible before starting and adding more. This is a contradiction that I could have worked on before. Now that I am in the middle of this, I can pause and reflect on what I could do to remove what is not needed. Oversharing is bad and not only on social medias. I need to learn to keep my ideas and plans to myself. What you want to accomplish and how is precious knowledge and needs to be reflected on and adapted as you are trying to reach the goal. Telling everyone about what you want to do and having to change your mind about it does not make you look better. When you talk less, people don’t know what to expect. They pay more attention when you say what you need to.

What is reasonable? What is reasonable for me is not always reasonable for others so it is obvious that it will be a very subjective answer. I can also understand why we got to an unreasonable point. The context and the history have shaped what is in place. It is unreasonable when you don’t know these.

There is a lot of work done that is unknown to everyone but the person that does it. I have seen many creative project to document trivial things that are unknown until someone popular post about it as a discovered marvel. The person documenting was doing it for themselves. Maybe some hope to be popular one day. I was instagramming all my espressi for years. I stopped because it was getting too heavy of a process. I was not enjoying it anymore. All the photos are still there. Only a handful of people looked at those photos and half of them were friends and family. ...

We are all walking contradictions. We say something and then we do something else. It brings the challenge that at some point you are not even trusting yourself. You say things and you know that you will not be able to live up to it. I realize that it is important that I do what I say and that I am very realistic with myself. If I want to complete my aquarium stand, I have to be realistic with when and how I will do it. I need to be realistic with my time and my abilities so that I am telling myself the truth. I will trust myself and will sound more confident when I tell my life partner that this is what I am doing. ...

I have listened to a few people explaining why taking the time to write helps you think more clearly. The first point was about presentation slides where we write bullet points, and we don’t have to put any meat around it. By stating it, it has to be true and accepted. It is not precise and there seems to be less critical thinking when it is in bullet form. If you have to write full sentences about your point, you will be presenting some evidence and arguments for it. ...

We need to say NO to almost everything. When you think about it, we have very little time. We can’t be spending it on everything that looks interesting. We have to spend our time on only what is important. We have to let go. First, let go the guilt. It is ok to not be able to help everyone that needs help. We have to let go the idea that we can have it all. That is a ridiculous idea that has been spread because some people felt that they were compromising too much and that they could have everything they desired if they put in the effort.
